2008 Pre-OTcars Discussion

Hey guys, it's almost that time again. OTcars are upon us. For those who don't know, the OTcars is an award ceremony celebrating the users who make Off-Topic good, bad, and everything in between. Last year, enormousaxie hosted them and the year before that was whos_next000.

Let's start with what we need.
-A Gracious Host (Master of Ceremonies)
- A couple of Tallyers
-A date (last year they happened around February-March I think)

If you're interested in being a host or tallyer, please PM me or reply below. But please, make sure you don't get suspended when it starts. Once your the host, I'm leaving all responsibility to you. You're in charge of organizing and communicating and leading the tallyers. This is a lot of work, so before you sign up for the job make sure that you're willing to put the time and effort into making the OTcars happen this year. Tallyers, you have a lot of hard work also and you need to be honest.

Here's the usual time it takes. This may change depending on how long the tallying takes.

* Two weeks of nominations
* Two weeks for the voting process

I'll offer to count as long as I'm not too busy which I don't think I will be

Do we just get a few things to count or like 5 or 6?
Bit premature aren't you? Last year it didn't start until January and the winners were announced in February.
I suppose I could tally

Last year, we actually did things earlier. I did this same thread in early November.
