Find the chemical that stimulates your brain's reward centre, and you shall have found happiness. How does one obtain happiness?

If you are in my presence, you are legally happy.

Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?
It all depends on your perception of happiness and what you believe will make you happy. For example, some people find obtaining as many expensive material goods as possible to be a sense of happiness, whereas others find happiness in making others happy, whether it is through helping the poor or petting a kitty.
There's no such thing as 'true happiness'.
Happiness never lasts, and it is caused, in the few short experiences where it is felt, by the idea that everything you are engaged in is perfect: social relationships, marital/sexual relationships, your clarity and satisfaction with yourself etc...
In my opinion. >.>

No. You can feel happiness until the day you die. Ever see an old man smile?
I think it varies from person to person. I know people who are only happy when they're with someone, and some who are never happy. Then there are those who are happiest when alone. I have no idea where one would find true happiness.
I feel the most genuine happiness when helping others without seeking own benefit.
I think that happiness varies for each person. I think it's all about finding what makes you as an individual happy. For some people, it may be finding true love. For others, it may be having a good job. For me, I'd say that I'm happiest when I succeed and feel stable.

These things have one thing in common. They cause your body to release a certain hormone.

Watch the movie the ''The Pursuit of Happyness.''
I'm sure that happiness is quite an individual thing. There is no uniform method to achieve it.
Only you can answer the question of what makes you happy. Just need to do some soul searching ;)

I guess you have to tell yourself, subconsciously. Part of it is genetics, but a lot of it is what you believe will make you happy. Essentially, if you can convince yourself that a new product (like a phone) will make you happy, then obtaining it will grant you a sense of satisfaction. However without the belief that something will make you happy (or, in other words, a constant pessimistic outlook on everything in society) you will never ''let'' yourself be happy. It's all based upon what you perceive something to be, and whether or not you perceive something as fun or not is up to you and only you :P
