i have not bought a movie since vhs never bought a dvd or blueray, i only rent movies or see them in the theater, what's the point of paying 15-30$ for a movie if you are going to watch it and then the second time it's all the same stuff, seems more resnable to pay 2-7$ to rent the movie for a night, then see another.Do you buy movies? do you buy movies?,
I buy, via digital download..do you buy movies?,
I usually buy the movies that I really like. Or sometimes rent them if I missed them in theaters, and not so sure if it will be worth a purchase.Anyways, the point of buying them? Well... To own them in your collection, of course... You can say the same for buying video games, and music CDs... Sometimes we like to watch a film over and over again, and with the convenience of the DVD and Blu-Ray discs, they always put bonus features for you to enjoy.

Is the selling price retail or optional?

No, I'm not much of a movie watcher.

Only if they're awesome movies that I know I'll watch over and over again.
I used to buy a lot of movies but now I barely buy any movies.
Yes, lately I've gotten really into it. I don't even have time to watch them all but I guess I just like the idea of having them, it's like owning a library of books.
I buy the occasional Blu-Ray. Most recently The Dark Knight, Iron Man, and Wall-E.

Even if a company offers expansions for those games, it can only do so much for the overall experience before having to expand to newer grounds with newer games. But anyways... Ask yourself this then: why buy yourself anything that is meant for entertainment? Well, to entertain, of course... Just because buying DVDs is not your thing, doesn't mean it's a waste for others.
Yes I just recently bought Casablanca Collectors Edition
To Kill A Mocking Bird Collectors Edition
The Dark Knight 2 disc special Edition

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest 2 disc Special Edition.
OR you can buy movies for $2-7 on ebay and be able to watch them anytime you want. :) That's what I do.
No lol.
I personally only buy the ones I'm really a fan of, but not really. The first blu ray movie I bought was TDK though. I bought The Simpson Movie DVD as a gift, and the last DVD I bought was probly 300 or Transformer on when those came out.
You know, it's fine that some people don't like buying movies. I just don't understand why it is such a difficult concept for you to wrap your head around why some people, like myself, enjoy buying them and find it worth it. You personally can only watch a movie once or twice....well some people watch a film more than that. Depending on what you're paying, I tell myself that the movie pays for itself after usually two viewings because that's what a rental might cost, plus add the convenience of having it on hand for whenever the mood strikes you.As for me, I love film, leaning heavily towards horror of course. I love having a large collection for the reasons I previously stated, to display, have friends comment on or pull out a film asking about it, etc. It is simply fun collecting, tracking down all the gems the genre has to offer. And I always watch the film more than once in the long run. You're just not as serious about movies as some people, which is obviously fine. But what makes it so mind-bending to not see that others take it seriously and find buying them worth it and enjoyable? Bought Pieces, Bloody Moon, and Stage Fright today in fact. Waste of time and money to most people, but I was pumped leaving the store.
I rarely buy movies. It has to be something I really like.
I don't even really watch movies.
