I dont think it ''kills'' anything. after awhile you just get used to it.Do people build tolerance to hot sauce?
you can build up a tolerance to a ton of stuff so im guessing you can with hot sauce too
well i ate some hot sauce today and it gave me diahria.
that was a bit too much info lol

I never feel the heat in food anymore. Naga Chili eating contests during uni sorted that out.
Capsaicin, the spicy chemical found in peppers, bind to your neurons and cause them to release a substance called Substance P prematurely. They send the ''heat'' signal to your brain, but if you eat peppers all the time, the neurons can run out of Substance P.
Don't worry though, it will be replenished if you stop eating peppers for a few weeks.
I have gotten used to hot things , so I suppose that you can build a tolerance.
i would say so.
My girlfriend is Spanish and has been exposed to hot Food her whole life. She has quite a tolerance for it but I nearly die when I eat a Jalepeno:P

when i was younger tobasco sauce used to be REALLY hot to me, then i started using it a lot and it became nothing to me. then i tried some hot sauces i found at bevmo ( yeah lol) habernero sauces, and my favorite - hot sauce from hell..... , they were also not at the time, but now their very tolerable.
so yes i think the more hot sauces you eat, the more you get used to them... try putting some sauce on popcord ( yeah its good trust me) or something else with not much flavor so you really get used to the sauce.. have a bottle of water rdy as well..
yea you can build a tolerance to hot sause. i have
I used to despise even tobasco sauce, but now I put it on almost everything and barely feel anything. It actually adds a lot of flavor, so I decided to toughen up and start getting used to it. It's quite delicious.
yeah, you canwe have a buffalo wild wings in my town....i have slowly worked my way all the way up the charts, and now i can regularly eat blazin wings.not saying it doesnt still hurt....i can tolerate itfor those who dont know what bufallo wild wings is, its a place known for their chicken wings that has a scale of a few hot sauces, rated from soft to really really hot sauces. this is what it is
Woah, I really need to start using that Louisianna sauce I got a few weeks ago. Haven't had some in awhile.
I used to eat lots of hot stuff and after a while you do build up the tolerance for it. If you stop eating spicy stuff for a while you'll have to rebuild a tolerance for it again. It's kind of like working out. Stop doing it and you get out of shape.
You can build a tolerance to it, similar to how people can drink more alcohol without feeling it's affects after continuous drinking.
maybe
