If it makes you feel better, I'm also a hypocrite.i am somewhat of a hypocrite
No kidding. I live in MA and people are constantly whining about the weather.
Everyone is, TC. I know I am.
Yeah, I get really tired of listening to complaints for the whole winter season. I mean, I live in North Dakota... The people here should be used to it by now, or at least, they should stop acting like it's a surprise and just suck it up. I know that we have a really long winter, but jeez, if it bothers you that much, then move...or stop whining.

Yay i am not alone. but what i am doing is complaing just like other people are complaing :p

I enjoy the NE weather a lot actually since i've lived here all my life. (Cape Cod btw)

we r suppose 2 get a nice big snowstorm friday. I love it when it gets nice and cold outside and you just get to sit inside next to the fire watching the snow fall or something, it's very relaxing and ncie and calm.

It snowed last night at like 930 and by 10 there was an inch or so on the ground and i got all excited, hoping there would b a snowday or something but then it all turned to rain and my hopes and dreams were crushed :(
Uhm yeah

:) people always complain about the NE weather. I only complain when i have to go walk outside in the negative temps w/ all the wind, that's the weather i don't like

but w/ cold means that it is almost time to head to the mountains to ski and board.

a week off from school always means an extra day or two is knocked off from your summer which is why i am a little glad that we did not get the ice storm down here. Hopefully it snows a ton, or the school board decides to add monday and tuesday onto the xmas vacation time b/c i know those 2 days will b torturous.

yeah people make a lot of money umpiring. My friend did it one summer and he made a good amount of cash, and it's not to tough i heard, just time consuming.

I need to get a job this summer to make myself some extra $ also

that reminds me... of my senior or junior year... my junoir year... i went to the bus stop... the middle school bus driver told me there was no school for high school since a trassformer blew... so that was thrusday/friday off. but we had to make this up.

than two years later they had the floods and they closed the school down and didn't have to make that up? :? totally sexist to us :(

Hmm depands the level the only bad side is travel. I have done games out of state... 30-35 minutes away. though in the end its all worth it. As long as you know what you're doing i have ejected 3-5 people this year.

usually i make about $36 for two umpires working and by yourself its $54 thats Baberuth. It can be diffuclt cause you cant see everything and get in the great postion. in time to make a call.

I had someone dive for a foulball but i couldnt see if the ball hit the ground or catch it. i look at the feild umpire ask him. He didn't see it since i didn't see the ball roll in or out i called him out.
lol, i think in 2004 we got like 2ft of snow one day and we had an entire week off of school so they could clean up everywhere. Some side streets, where my friends live, off of my neighbor hood has massive shovel digouts so they could go buy food and stugg. Lucky for me i live on the main road of my neighborhood so they plowed it, although it was tedious hours of work shoveling/snow blowing my driveway. And then we got days added on at the end of the year :/
