Hi Guys.My group and I made a little video, and I would really appreciate your feedback.
You are welcome to comment on any aspect you would like, of course, as it helps us get better at filming editing etc.
It would help the most if you would be a bit specific with your feedback, but dropping a short comment is also welcome.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfNNJR6ohd4Best regards, Krisgebis Need your help!
seen it a million times in a million different ways, it was good thoughNeed your help!
We drew a little on the google commercial, but we came up with our cencept before we saw the google one.
I also recently saw the one with the skateboard. VERY nicely done, but I saw it after we finished our video. Do you have other examples of similar videos?

I'm a Technical Communications major as well so I'm glad to help with any input on your video.
Wow, truly amazing movie. I liked the way the captured the motion even though it's only put together by alot of picture. Just look at him making that waving motion with his arms (it looks like it's not even stop motion, but his body is stopmotion).Well they also had stopmotion and eating paper, but I don't think its the same message they are trying tell. But the skateboarding one is more close. But I can def see the simularities. Great video.edit: The stopmotion breakdancing, reminds me of a video that some students made last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_l96SRMyew
Anybody else have any insightful feedback, it would really help us out :-)
I think the transitions between frames are sometimes too abrupt.

Do you mean the transition between each angle, or just the transition between each scene/location? Is the flow of the movie a bit too fast?

I mean the transition between each scene/location. Yes, the pace is a bit too fast.
That would correspond (spelling) with other feedback we have been getting. Some people miss a stronger connection between the atmosphere were are trying to create, and the city we are trying to promote (Aarhus), which might be due to the quick pacing and no use of total shots (a camera shot further away, so you see the whole set). But it's a delicate balance, as you might imagine, because the viewer isn't supposed to get bored and stop watching.

Honestly, I think you should consider showing more of the city at both the beginning and the end of the project. The video itself doesn't have a strong presence of setting.
I think that it FEELS like a student project as opposed to a promo.
I have no idea what it's about :
|I also feel that to give the movie a more meaning, the individual scenes should be a little bit longer, in this way they will stick to the viewer better. Edit: I read you post about the viewer not getting bored, that is true, but scenes that too quickly come one after another confuse the viewer, who will lose the overall idea, trying to concentrate on just watching the movie.
I can see both of your points boba_fett and leeveeu. The quick scene cuts were chosen because it look really good to keep the papir moveing, because it gave the movie a nice flow. It was a compromise however, because we had first imagined that the people would sit in their own setting, and then the papir/dialog would interrupt them in their solitude.
