What would you guys recommend if you were in my position in regards to 360/PS3?

Currently own a PS2 and am satisfied with it but want to get a modern system. Price is a factor, but willing to pay more if the product is better quality and longer lasting. Not a huge online guy because I haven't gotten into it, but it looks interesting and something I'd enjoy. So online factor is a plus. Graphics, I'm sure both have solid graphics. I have a 50 something inch 1080p downstairs, but my system will be hooked up to a regular non-hd tv. I like primarily sporting and action-adventure games, will go outside the genre once in awhile. Not an avid gamer, play a decent amount though.Going off that, what would you recommend between the 360 and PS3?What would you guys recommend if you were in my position in regards to 360/PS3?

I would go with a 360. But mostly it is a factor of what games you would want to play more. 360's do tend to brake a bit so that may or may not happen.

So all in all , look at the games for both systems and see what interests you the most.
I would get a Wii.

They tend to break if you got one over a year ago. Recent ones had revised motherboard/gpu design, no way they break as much.
