It works better than the ''spend money we don't actually have'' method, which is obviously what got them to that point in the first place.
Still with the anti-Obama avatar? I hate to have to break this to you, but the election is over...

Liberals did the same thing both times bush won. I know I saw plenty of Kerry/Edwards signs up still after they lost the election. Theres nothing wrong with that either.

If he still has an anti Obama sticker 8 years from now then there's a problem, but now he is more than able to hate that bastard.
Where do you suggest they get the money from?
New York needs money....do you have a better idea?
wow an itunes tax? why do they always cut school budgets, yes yes i know its very easy to do it.. but if our children dont get good edjucations then this country is going to go even more downhill in the coming years.. i remember one of my high school teachers telling me once, '' in about 5 years we might not even afford to be able to have the lights on in class'' .. thats just absurd..
lmao...glad I live in PA...though this is gonna open the door for a lot of new taxes in other states. I understand raising taxes if you are increasing the budget...but he's only increasing the budge by 1%...that does not warrant 88 new taxes.
Conservaties are just as guilty as liberals when it comes to taxing.
The download tax is a terrrible idea as there's no way that you can only tax people in NYC with it and servers can easily move out if they try to charge the companies based there
As opposed to? Red states that spend more than they tax?
http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2008/12/16/2008-12-16_gov_david_paterson_unveils_dire_new_york.htmlYeah, tax and spend liberalism really works
ya this is all cuz of liberalism  And as for cutting jobs, benefits, and stuff like that...last time I checked that was a conservative thing to do, and without a doubt the worst aspect of his plan.Taxes on downloaded music and luxury items (wine, cigars, beer) are actually a good thing.did you read the last part of the article, the part about NY being really dependent on Wall Street? How is that a fault of liberals?
Its uneducated statements like the TC that embody the visual of the facepalm.. If you didn't notice that the country is in economic melt down.. Our major industries are crumbling.. Worse is just recently something like 2 to 3 dozen states finally publically admited that in less then a years time they will be unable to pay for the people collecting unemployment.. Honestly do you force your self to be this ignorant or are you just naturally this ignorant? All politicans will have to make tough decisions like this regardless of the political views they have.
oooooh but thats because Bush is a neoconservative, not a true conservative like the TC :

oooooh but thats because Bush is a neoconservative, not a true conservative like the TC :|
Which is funny too because being a economic conservative is the exact WRONG thing to have for a country heading towards economic diseaster.. Hoover was proof of this alone, when he did absolutely nothing intill we were in full swing depression.. Where he begrudgling agreed that the government needed to do something.. ANd then started throwing money at it.. Man does that sound familar to the whole AIG/bank fiasco or what?

tax and spend liberalism?? do you even know how the economies of a state work? tax revenue? ever hear of it? states make less money in taxes in ---- economies therefore suffer from budget shortfalls. not to mention the money they're not collecting from wall street anymore.. :|
