What horror movies have great creepy atmosphere?

for me usually what makes a horror movie memorable is atmosphere or feeling to it. what horror movies for you have great atmosphere?Alien - the whole vastness of space and isolated lonely feeling, not to mention your stuck on a ship with a monsternight of the living dead - the whole feel of the movie is just generally creepythe wolf man - sure nowadays its pretty cheasey maybe funny, but the set piceces with all the fog and stuff was greatan american werewolf in london - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6PIke8r51E seriously that part always freeked me out :P, i mean imagine walking alone on a foggy night, then you hear that howling.susperia - the whole thing was like an acid tripthe excorcist - that theme song lol willy wonka and the chocolate factory - ok i know its not a horror movie but who can forget the boat trip? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Zail7Gdqrothe shining - almost nothing happens BUT THE WHOLE FRIGGEN MOVIE creeps me out What horror movies have great creepy atmosphere?
Sleepy Hollow. Arguably not horror but has enough horror elements for me to classify it as such.

28 Days Later. Easily one of the most immersive ones at the beginning.Oh and Night of the Living Dead did have an excellently eerie Musical score.

The Shining %26 The Descent. I rarely watch horror movies, no interest, but those two are great IMO.
The Wicker Man original not that nic cage crap-even tho hes surrounded by people u really get the feeling hes alone

i kinda thought that silent hill had a creepy atmosphere.. it wasnt so much scary but i just felt it was so DARK and like glommy, i dont know. same thing goes with 30 days of night, it was really like dark and eary to me
